Recently, OPPO (one of the Chinese mobile manufacturer) has release a new range of F series mid-range smartphones called as the F1 which will be focused on photography. The phone is going to emphasize high-specs and cool cameras at a sensible price. In the meantime, the company has slowly reveal more about the phone in 20 different countries starting with a pre-order in Vietnam and currently selling the product in France, United Kingdom and Germany.
The Oppo F1 has improvise its front-facing camera by offering their consumers a 8MP f/2.0 camera and a 1/4-inch sensor that is able to lets the consumers takes 30-percent clearer selfies and about 44-percent more light than a 5MP f/2.4 camera. Alongside the new front-facing camera, the phone also provides several bonus software including voice control, a comprehensive beauty mode with filters and plus gesture.
At the back of the phone, consumers will be offered with a Samsung’s 13MP ISOCELL rear-camera that features a phase detection autofocus and a more improvise optical image stabilization called as “anti-shake optimization” (where consumers will automatically get a best shot photo after pressing the shutter button). In addition, the phone also offer a wide range of software to the F1 phone such as an Ultra HD mode (software that let consumers get a single 50MP image when the photos is taken four time consecutively), Pure Image 2.0, a macro mode, a GIF creator, slow shutter, HDR, and a double exposure mode.
The phone comes with gorgeous polished aluminium body as a cover for its rear panel while shaping it up to 60-degree angle at the edge of the body for comfortable and stylish-look. On the front of the device, the phone uses a 5-inch 720p IPS TFT display with Corning 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 Protection, an octa-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon 616 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The phone is also packed with 128GB MicroSD card slot, a 2,500mAh battery, Dirac HD sound technology, dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system (that can be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the near future) together with the company’s ColorOS 2.1 as its default skin. Although the notification draw has been slightly modified with no app tray, there are also no pre-installed apps or bloatware can be found in the phone which makes it smooth and fast.
To put it briefly, the Oppo F1 is a smartphone built in metal and gold finish that provide a mediocre hardware but totally emphasize the camera for the consumers to take a super-sharp and great selfies.
